Subjects

First academic year: Advanced fundamentals and perioperative practice.


Semesters 1 and 2.

Semester 1 – UCLM - Spain.

Subjects focused on comprehensive understanding of surgical and critical patients:

  • Psychosocial aspects, management and humanization of care.

  • Advanced ethics and legislation in intensive and surgical care.

  • Basic perioperative nursing.

  • Surgical asepsis and advanced instrumentation.

  • Advanced principles of anesthesia.


Semester 2 – FDMZ - Croatia.

Advanced clinical training and first practical scenarios:

  • Research methodology (I).

  • Care in the resuscitation area.

  • Management in intensive care units.

  • Critical patient care I.

  • Advanced surgical specialities I.


Second year: Specialised critical care and Master's Thesis (Semesters 3 and 4).

Semester 3 – CUT - Cyprus

In-depth study of critical patient care and advanced life support:

  • Advanced surgical specialities II.

  • Disease mechanisms and clinical reasoning.

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS).

  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

  • Advanced critical care.

  • Paediatric and neonatal intensive care.

  • Research methodology (II).


Semester 4 – Mobility for internships and Master's Thesis (Consortium University of choice).

  • International clinical internships (12 ECTS) at accredited healthcare centers.

  • Master's Thesis (18 ECTS) developed in research groups at partner universities or collaborating European institutions.
